This Privacy Policy explains how Daily Walls (“the App”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Android app published on Google Play.

We collect only the information needed to provide wallpaper features, app reliability, notifications, ads, and optional purchase restore.

A) Information collected automatically

  1. Device and app diagnostics (via Firebase Crashlytics), such as crash stack traces, app/device state, OS version, and technical diagnostics.
  2. Usage analytics events (via Firebase Analytics), such as app opens, wallpaper update events, widget interactions, and notification event metadata.
  3. Push identifiers and metadata (via Firebase Cloud Messaging), including FCM registration token and data-message fields required to process update/notification actions.
  4. Advertising-related data (via Google Mobile Ads SDK/AdMob), which may include device identifiers and ad interaction data as processed by Google.
  5. Anonymous Firebase auth identifier used internally to access Firebase-backed app features.

B) Information you provide

  1. Google account email address (optional): requested only when you choose purchase/restore flows in the in-app purchase section.
  2. Purchase-related data: purchase token, order ID, product ID, quantity, purchase time, and acknowledgement/consumption status used to validate and restore ad-removal benefits.

C) Data stored locally on your device

The app stores settings and operational values locally (SharedPreferences/Room), such as selected region, wallpaper preferences, app behavior settings, cached content metadata, and purchase state flags.

3. Why we use this information

We use information to:

  1. deliver wallpaper and widget functionality,
  2. fetch region/content configuration and app constants,
  3. send and process optional push notifications,
  4. improve stability and performance,
  5. show ads in the ad-supported version,
  6. process in-app purchase fulfillment and restore previous purchases.

4. Third-party services used

Daily Walls integrates third-party SDKs/services including:

  1. Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Auth, Realtime Database, Remote Config)
  2. Google Mobile Ads (AdMob)
  3. Google Play Billing
  4. Google Sign-In (used for purchase/restore email access)

These providers may process data according to their own privacy policies and terms. We recommend reviewing Google’s privacy documentation for Firebase, AdMob, Google Play Billing, and Google Sign-In.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell personal information.

We may share data with service providers strictly to operate the app (for example, Google services above and purchase backend endpoints used for purchase validation/restore). We may also disclose information where required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or to protect against abuse, fraud, or security threats.

The app may request Android permissions including internet/network access, notifications, storage/media access (legacy Android versions), wake/boot scheduling support, wallpaper setting, and battery-optimization related behavior for reliable wallpaper updates. These permissions are used only for app features described in this policy.

You can:

  1. disable or limit notifications in app/device settings,
  2. control app permissions in Android settings,
  3. uninstall the app to stop all further collection by the app,
  4. contact us to request support regarding your data.

Some analytics/crash behavior may be controlled by in-app settings/build configuration where available.

8. Data retention

Retention periods vary by data type and provider:

  1. local app data remains on your device until you clear app data or uninstall,
  2. diagnostics/analytics and messaging-related records are retained according to Google/Firebase policies,
  3. purchase records needed for restore/verification are retained only as long as required for billing support, fraud prevention, and legal/accounting obligations.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

10. Children’s privacy

Daily Walls does not intentionally collect sensitive personal data from users.

The app is designed for a general audience and is intended to display appropriate wallpaper and utility content. If you believe any content or data handling requires review, please contact us and we will investigate and take appropriate action.

11. International transfers

Service providers we use may process data in countries outside your location. By using the app, you understand that your information may be transferred and processed in other jurisdictions.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted at the privacy policy URL used by the app and become effective on the date shown at the top of this policy.
